The story in this book has been inspired by the real life experience of many young boys and girls across the African savanna who journey through the wild each day for the chance to receive an education.

Dinosaurs at St. James’s Park was inspired by an imaginative young boy named Ariyo. For many years I would take him to the park to watch the ducks, swans, geese, and pelicans by the lake and to play in the playground.
Like many children of his generation, Ariyo loved dinosaurs. Before long, he began to see the birds in the park as prehistoric creatures, and that wonderful imagination became the inspiration for this story.
My thanks also go to the illustrator, Akin, who — despite never having seen these London landmarks — has beautifully brought them to life in this book.
When Ọya’s sleep was disturbed by her twin Ṣàngó, and his fellow band members’ thunderous noise. Ọya kicks up a storm, thunder and lightning, the wind is on a whirl, the earth is on a quake. When will this fight come to an end?
It was the day before Yemọja’s Festival of the Five Moons, the last day of rehearsals for The Children of the Stars. Orí the head of the band had overheard her fellow band members mocking her. Broken hearted, Orí would rather be alone, their words had left her cold, the rehearsals may never even take hold. But time alone was enough to forgive, because that’s what true friends do.
Ṣàngó’s mischief lands him in trouble, as punishment he is sent into the rainforest to help his two older brothers, Òsoòsì and Ògún hunt for an elusive okapi. Ṣàngó, who dislikes the rainforest drags his feet in boredom, his belly growls in hunger he soon spoils the hunt. Knowing that he had to make things right with his brothers, he came up with a creative way to catch the okapi.
In the days leading up to the next market day, Ọ̀ ṣun had been working tirelessly making ginger candies. She wanted to sell the candies so she could pay for a beautiful green and white hooded cloak. Unfortunately for her, a couple of bad decisions leads to her misfortune. Although disappointed Ọ̀ ṣun maintained her grace, not knowing her fortune was about to change when Ajé entered the marketplace
Sometimes through great strive the impossible may become possible. In this tale of creation Ṣàngó’s pet lion, Ra Olóye dreams of the impossible; nebulas clustering together, to form rockstars, so as to create Ilé-ayé (earth). Ṣàngó and his twin Ọya had to fight, a stormy fight to make this dream come true.
